Overview of Sarawak Labour Ordinance (Cap 76) and key differences from the Employment Act 1955.
Understanding new amendments and their impact on employment contracts, wages, and working conditions.

Insights on handling of complaints to labour office about punishments, wages and payment and the labour court and its decisions, and the labour office inspection.

Chan Wang Tak is a highly experienced course facilitator and HR Consultant with more than 40 years’ experience in Human Resource Management and consultancy. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Lincolnshire, UK.
He is well-versed with the operating environment of both manufacturing and retailing. He had 10 years of experience as the first HR Manager of Carter Semiconductor (M) Sdn Bhd (now Carsem Semiconductor) in Ipoh, as well as 11 years as the Group HR Manager of Georgetown Bhd., a major retailing group of companies.
He started his own HR consultancy business in 1994 and in that time he has served MNCs, local conglomerates, GLCs and SMEs in manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors as consultant for salary and benefits, setting up the HR and Training Depts, coaching HR professionals as well as course facilitator.
He has served as a Panel Member of the Industrial Court of Malaysia, and is recognized as a Pakar Industri Negara (PIND) by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran of the Human Resource Ministry and a Certified HRDF Trainer. He is presently an elected councillor of the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management. In the area of training, he conducts programs in all areas of HR Management, employment laws and disciplinary management, management skills up to management level, supervisory skills, personal development and attitude change, retailing and customer service skills. Wang Tak also conducts training in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and occasionally in Chinese languages.
